Background of RWSC
Rural Women Service Center (RWSC) is a non-governmental and non-profitable member based social development organization. It has been registered at DAO Makwanpur on 11 Aashadh, 2059. It is also affiliated with the Social Welfare Council and NGO Federation of Nepal. RWSC is operating its activities in 31 VDCs out of 43 VDCs of Makwanpur district for the institutional development of 27 cooperatives and 1265 women groups. Other 2 cooperatives are going to register in 2 VDCs as soon where they had formed an ad hoc committee ranging from 7 to 13 members.

¨ To contribute on economic, social, political empowerment of women and deprived community groups.
¨ To encourage women's participation for social transformation.

¨ Regular interaction on community issues within women's groups and cooperatives found to be effective for social change.
¨ Discussion and interaction with male counterparts is essential for building trusts and cooperation.
¨ Equal participation of both women and men in the entire project activities have found effective for better implementation of the project.
¨ Women's social reorganization is increases while they participate on different social activities.
